You Mystify Me

This is a song written recently. Rushed a little, to enter in an internet competition under the banner of Lazy Mouse (A collab with Maria - profile coming soon)
The idea was for it to be quite sparse and acoustic, and I like the basics and melody, but it feels a bit unfinished. Maybe a little bass (Stu) and some haunting synth (Sal) or visa versa, would add something. Absolutely no hurry, I know we're all busy folks! If nothing comes to mind, thats fine too. Just thought I'd put it up.

Thanks for both clips (Sal, could you send yours without the backing) They are both very cool. It will be interesting to try and put it all together in a coherent way.
The Five-4 project sounds really good, as does the Fool tune (Did I really play that fast? I'm impressed!!). Really good editing, mixing etc
I'm away for a few days, but will work on 'Mystify' when I return. Speak to you soon.

Just to make it clear in my mind, a mix of the material we get at the moment is attached.
May I suggest to make the background male voice less diffuse, or more assertive if you prefer : Richard's voice deserves it largely, and I believe it will provide a better mix(I mean all musicians playing/singing in the same space/room) .
Scoop : drummer/percucionnist soon joining !

I don't want to let let the song drop by the wayside, but I think I made a mistake in the way kryptic works. I know now that the best idea is to put up a clip, with no preconceptions, to let others do their own thing with it and create something new and maybe suprising, which others add to etc, etc. with 'Mystify' I wrote a song, visualised the end product, recorded it (all be it a bit rough) and then put it up on Kryptic. So when you and Sal added your own ideas I couldn't really visualise where else to go with it. Had a bit of a blank (at the moment)
I appreciate the work you put into it, and if you want to work on it, in any way, feel free (We're not at all precious about it). Hope you don't think it was time wasted.

Hey Richard...
no problem with this at all... i do exactly the same with factory things... i tend to post a whole song as opposed to clips, and need to get my head into that.

am just pleased it's not gone forever... but i do like the original as is really... it is a really nice song, and i kinda thought that the addition of 'stuff' would take it into a whole new arena. for instance i think the bass tack is waaaaay too busy for it now...?

i don't want to work on it... i would just spoil it i reckon... ha ha.. :)
