Really enjoyed Margot's version. Great sense of rhythm! Could you send me the vocal only. I have a couple of ideas. (We could end up with many versions of this, but thats a good thing!)
Cheers
Richard
FIRST I APOLOGIZE FOR THE TEMPO : I DID IT ALL AT 120 BPM AND THE FIRST THING I HAD TO DO WAS TO ASK YOU...
HERE ARE
1 MARGOT'S VOICE ALONE
2 ANNE LAURE'S CONTRIBUTION ( WE DID THE TAKES TONIGHT AND THAT'S AN INSTANT MIX + VOX ALONE)
I've uploaded a progress report clip. It's rough, and rhythms, drums, spacing of vocals all need to be tweaked. Not even sure what instruments (synthetic) to use yet. Working on full size version. What do you think?
I'll send you the full instrumental backing when I've finished it (I guess you need it completed if you are going to stretch it to fit Margo's vocal).
Don't know why the parts didn't quite fit. Probably something I did!
I will probably also have another go at 'time stretching'. Speak to you soon .........
I've posted another version, full length. Still rough but have nearly sorted Margot's vocals, managed to stretch them. My fault; when I re-recorded the guitar part, I changed the tempo back to 120!!!
In this version, Margot sings 2 verses and a chorus, after this there is a repeat of the intro synthy bit. After that, there are 2 verses empty and then the chorus again, empty.
Maybe you could use your vocal for one verse and the chorus (maybe with Margots backing on the chorus, like you posted earlier) and a guitar solo like you did in 'Noche' over the other verse, which was a great sound!
If you are too busy at the moment or have some other ideas for the song, that's cool.
Speak to you soon
Richard
PS bpm now 120
